burgeoning cacti-
stretches over arid planes
somewhere, in my mind
a meadow of verdant green
in the pages of a book

waiting for my love-
torn between fear and longing
summer when I wear his ring

it does make a difference
curious and brave snail
defying gravity’s pull
to see the world upside down

another warm day-
the ground is wet with dew drops
as the sun rises
white clouds fleet by
a smell of newly mawn hay

it flows to where it shall end

my life’s journey has a plan
