Nursing is the profession that I love, while Poetry is my passion.
There is nothing most rewarding to me, than to give all the love and care that I can, and see the smile on the face of my patients. A gentle touch on their forehead, a tender squeeze of their hand, or a minute spent with them even if there are no words spoken means a lot to them, and to me, that, at the end of each day when I go home, I know in my heart that I gave something … love and care.
The other side of my persona, is my passion to write poetry. I have written quite a few poems, which were just archived in my journal. When I learned about Haiku, I read more about it, became my new interest, and started to write Haiku about Love, Life, and Nature/Environment.
The time came when my mentor, a brilliant poet and creative writer, challenged me and inspired me to compile my poems in a book. Thus, my first book : When I Fall in Love, a collection of Haiku, Luwa, Tongue Twisters and Other Poems was conceived and published privately (in Aklan, Philippines). I continue to write essays, poems, Aklanon Luwa, Aklanon tongue twisters, and Haiku. Hopefully, another book will be born…

Actually, English is my second language being born, raised, and educated in my native country, Philippines. Yes, this is wordpress blog. I like it cuz it’s easy to navigate. You can also customize your blogsite/domain. You can try it for free, then if you like it, you can create your own domain with a reasonable annual fee.
