Aklan is one of the four provinces comprising the island of Panay, in the Visayan region, in the Philippines. Many Aklanons have been writing manuscripts (poems, essays, stories, novels, etc.) since the 1500’s up to the present. These manuscripts were researched, compiled, and published by individual writers, or by members of the Aklan Literary Circle. As an Aklanon, I am proud to speak and write in my native dialect.
This page will solely contain all my poems, haiku, luwa, and tongue twisters, written in my native Aklanon dialect.
